NZXT offered gaming PCs for rent – subscription fee from $59 per month

Primarily known for its cases and liquid cooling systems, as well as motherboards, NZXT has been renting out pre-built gaming PCs equipped with powerful GeForce RTX graphics cards for several months now. The program is called Flex. The company is ready to physically provide a gaming PC to the user for a certain monthly fee.

Under the Flex program, NZXT offers three subscription levels and, accordingly, one of three game builds: Player: One Flex, Player: Two Flex or Player: Three Flex. A monthly gaming PC rental starts at $59. There are no long-term commitments or early termination fees with your subscription.

The company does not offer the option to buy back PCs over time. This is exactly a rental. In the event of a breakdown of the system or its components due to the fault of the user, the latter will have to compensate for the damage. If a breakdown occurs through no fault of his own, NZXT will bear all costs. As part of the rental program, NZXT commits to upgrading rental PC components every two years. This way the systems will not become outdated.

As part of the Player: One Flex subscription costing $59 per month, a system based on an Intel Core i5-14400F (10 cores, 16 threads, frequency up to 4.7 GHz), with 16 GB of DDR5 RAM, a GeForce RTX 4060 video card and SSD M will be provided for use .2 with a capacity of 500 GB. All this is collected in the NZXT H5 case. Previously, this configuration included a Core i5-12400F processor and a GeForce RTX 3050.

Player: Two Flex subscription costs $119 per month. Here we offer a system based on AMD Ryzen 5 5600X (6 cores, 12 threads, 4.6 GHz), with 16 GB of DDR4-3200 RAM, a GeForce RTX 4070 Super video card and a 1 TB M.2 SSD in the NZXT H5 Elite case. Previously, the assembly included the same processor, but the GeForce RTX 4070 video card was without the Super prefix.

The third tier of the Player: Three Flex subscription, priced at $169, offers a PC based on the Core i7-13700KF (16 cores, 24 threads, up to 5.4 GHz), with 32 GB of DDR5-5600 RAM, a GeForce RTX 4070 Ti Super graphics card and SSD M. 2 with a capacity of 1 TB in the H7 Flow case. Previously, the GeForce RTX 4070 was offered here. All three configurations are available in white or black versions.

For approximately two years of PC rental with a Player: One Flex subscription, the user will pay $1,416. A Player: Two Flex subscription for the same period will cost $2,856, and a gaming PC rental with a Player: Three Flex subscription will cost $4,096. It should be added that at the start of the rental program, the subscription fee in the first and second options was $49 and $109, that is, it was 10 dollars cheaper.

According to the HotHardware portal, it will be cheaper to assemble computers with such characteristics yourself. The cost of the Player: One Flex subscription configuration is currently $829, the second-tier configuration will cost $1,599, and the third-tier configuration will cost $2,299.
