Publisher and developer Microsoft, in the official Xbox Wire news blog, revealed plans to participate in the upcoming gaming exhibition gamescom 2024, which will be held in Cologne from August 21 to 25.
As it became known, Microsoft’s booth at gamescom 2024 will accommodate over 240 gaming stations with more than 50 projects from Xbox Game Studios, Blizzard Entertainment, Bethesda Softworks and third-party studios (like GSC Game World).
Among the Xbox games itself, public demos of Age of Mythology: Retold, Ara: History Untold, Towerborne, the Diablo IV: Vessel of Hatred add-on, The Elder Scrolls Online: Gold Road expansion, and the Milepost Zero update for Fallout 76 are promised.
Microsoft will also hold exclusive presentations of Avowed, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, and the Starfield: Shattered Space add-on. All three projects were supposed to receive a release date at the June Xbox Games Showcase 2024, but did not receive them.
Third-party games available for in-person viewing at the Xbox booth include The Alters, Ark 2, Replaced, Squirrel with a Gun, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl, Star Wars Outlaws and Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2. Full list:
Among other things, on the Twitch and YouTube channels of Xbox on August 21, 22 and 23 (starting at 16:00 Moscow time) there will be live broadcasts from gamescom 2024. Bethesda is planning its own streams on these days (they will start an hour earlier, at 15:00).
Microsoft also called for announcements at Opening Night Live, the opening ceremony of gamescom 2024. The show will take place the day before the exhibition begins, on August 20, and will once again be hosted by Geoff Keighley.
