Guns of Fury takes place in the near future, when the world is experiencing an energy crisis. Dr. Klaus, a world-renowned scientist, discovers the incredible properties of Tetra Cell, which can save humanity. 24 hours after the announcement, the researcher mysteriously disappears and his laboratory explodes. The president of Easton Industries, who allegedly intends to create a superweapon based on Tetra Cell, is suspected of kidnapping Dr. Klaus. As operative Vincent Fury, players must infiltrate the corporation’s top-secret research facility to recover a missing scientist.

The action platformer combines elements of classic run & gun and metroidvanias. Players will have to explore a huge world consisting of connected locations (some can only be reached with certain abilities). The developers promise “exciting” action, hand-drawn graphics in the style of 16-bit projects, destructible environments, more than 10 “epic” bosses and many types of regular enemies, controllable mecha robots with different attacks and skills, alternative endings and an “incredible” soundtrack by Dominic Ninmark. Gamers will find hundreds of unique items, weapons and gadgets, as well as secrets hidden in the walls. Only a single-player mode is announced, but players hope that the authors will add co-op.

Users were delighted with the trailer. “This game has a ’90s feel to it,” noted PadPoet. — Sound effects, animation, music. This is what SNK should be releasing now. I’m looking forward to it.” “I’ll buy it on release day,” shared kodemasterx.

The Gelato Games team consists of brothers John and Lefteris Christodoulatos. John is responsible for the programming part, Lefteris – for the artistic part. In 2014, the duo released the 2D action platformer Goblin Sword on iOS, which was warmly received by the press (rating on Metacritic – 80 out of 100 points). In 2020, the game appeared on Nintendo Switch.

Guns of Fury will be released on PC (Steam) before the end of 2024. Support for Xbox and PlayStation controllers is announced. The game will only be available in English.
