The open-world crime thriller Grand Theft Auto V from Rockstar Games has already been on Game Pass three times: time after time, PC Game Pass subscribers have found themselves out of work, but it looks like there will be a holiday on their street soon.
According to data miner Tez2, who specializes in Rockstar Games projects, the studio is currently preparing to make Grand Theft Auto V available to play for PC Game Pass subscribers.
The insider did not specify the timing of the release of GTA V on PC Game Pass, but added that with a subscription, the game works through the Rockstar Games Launcher program, although it will be launched from the Xbox application.
The potential release of GTA V on PC Game Pass will mark the debut of the Rockstar Games crime thriller for subscribers of the service on PC. Until now, only the console version of the game has appeared in the catalog.
Let us remind you that this has happened three times so far: first from January to May 2020 (four months), then from April to August 2021 (also four months), and the last time – from July 2023 to January 2024 (six months).
The original release of GTA V took place in September 2013 on PS3 and Xbox 360, and the game was subsequently ported to PS4 and Xbox One (November 2014), PC (April 2015), PS5 and Xbox Series X and S (March 2022- go).
In May 2024, GTA V became only the second single game after Minecraft to break the barrier of 200 million copies sold. And this despite the lack of story DLC, Rockstar’s plans for which were thwarted by GTA Online.
