The Shattered Space addon for Bethesda Game Studios’ space RPG Starfield hasn’t even received a release date yet, and players seem to have already learned what the next expansion will be called.

As noted by the ever-vigilant user X under the pseudonym Timur222, in the first half of July, ZeniMax Media (owner of Bethesda) filed an application to register a trademark directly related to Starfield.
According to an entry on the website of the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), on July 12, ZeniMax Media indicated to the office its desire to take over the Starborn trademark. The following text may contain spoilers.

Let us remind you that Starborn, that is, the Starborn, is a group of people who passed through the Unity (the ethereal sphere in the center of the game world) and thanks to this received the ability to travel between universes.
Timur222 and, following him, specialized media suggest that in the case of the new ZeniMax Media brand called Starborn, there may be a plot addition to Starfield dedicated to the Born Stars.

As for Shattered Space, the addon will be dedicated to the secrets of the House of Va’ruun – a religious cult that worships the Great Serpent. The expansion release is expected before the end of 2024.
Bethesda, represented by executive producer Todd Howard, previously confirmed that it intends to release paid expansions for Starfield annually, so it will definitely not be limited to Shattered Space.
