While waiting for the full presentation of Mafia 4, fans of the series of crime action films from the publishing house 2K and developers from the Hangar 13 studio are in for a different kind of announcement, assure insiders Nate the Hate (aka NateDrake) and eXtas1s.
NateDrake, in a recent post on the ResetEra forum, intrigued users with a teaser that next month (that is, in August), a game from the Mafia series will be added to the Game Pass library.
In a subsequent message, NateDrake clarified that we are talking about Mafia: Definitive Edition, a full-fledged remake of Mafia: The City of Lost Heaven from the Czech Illusion Softworks, released in September 2020 by Hangar 13.
On the night of July 29, eXtas1s confirmed the information published by NateDrake about the addition of Mafia: Definitive Edition to Game Pass and announced the approximate date for the premiere of the game in the subscription – August 13.
Earlier, a Spanish insider (along with several other informants) predicted the exact release date of the military shooter Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 on Game Pass – the game was added to the service’s library on July 24.
According to eXtas1s, even before Mafia: Definitive Edition, on August 8, another remake (even three) will appear on Game Pass – Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy, followed by Spyro Reignited Trilogy and Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 + 2.
Returning to Mafia, the new part was confirmed the summer before last. According to rumors, the game is a prequel to the main trilogy and will tell about the formation of Don Salieri in Sicily at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries, and will also be more linear than Mafia 3.
