Inexpensive but strong: Realme Narzo N61 smartphone launched starting at $90

Realme introduced a new smartphone in the budget Narzo N series. The manufacturer focused on the durability of the new product. Realme Narzo N61 is enclosed in a metal body, inside of which there is a metal frame with an aluminum structure. At the same time, the screen is protected by durable reinforced glass. The new product has IP54 protection against water and dust.

Realme Narzo N61 is equipped with a 6.74-inch LCD display with HD+ resolution and a refresh rate of 90 Hz, and the brightness is up to 560 cd/m2. According to the manufacturer, the smartphone’s touch screen responds even to the touch of wet fingers, and using the device in the rain will not harm it.

There is a 5-megapixel front-facing camera at the top of the screen, which also houses the Realme Mini Capsule 2.0 UI element that displays key information. On the back panel there is a main 32-megapixel camera that allows you to record video in a resolution of 1080 pixels. There are two lenses on the back panel, but Realme does not provide the characteristics of the second module. And if you look at the image above, it becomes clear that the second camera eye does not actually have a camera.

Narzo N61 is built on SoC Unisoc T612. This is a 6nm chip with two Cortex-A75 cores and six Cortex-A55 cores, as well as a Mali G57 graphics accelerator. The amount of RAM can be 4 or 6 GB (expandable through storage), and the built-in memory can be 64 or 128 GB. The latter can be expanded using a microSD card, which can be installed instead of one of the two SIMs.

The smartphone is powered by a 5,000 mAh battery, which the company claims can retain up to 80% of its original capacity after 1,000 charging cycles. The battery is recharged via the USB-C port at a low power of 10 W. The weight of the device is 187 g and the thickness is 7.84 mm.

Realme Narzo N61 will initially launch in the Indian market at a price of Rs 7,500 (around $90) for the 4/64GB version and Rs 8,500 (around $100) for the 6/128GB version in Blue and Black colours.
