Google Pixel 9 smartphones will be able to add a user to a photo where they were not originally there

Recently, even more details have become known about the Pixel 9 smartphones, which Google will officially present in the middle of next month. It has now been revealed that new Google smartphones will support the “Added me” feature, which will make it easy to add a user’s image to pictures where it was not originally there.

The feature was revealed in a short video that briefly appeared on YouTube but was removed shortly after publication. It shows a girl using a Pixel 9 smartphone to take pictures of her friends in front of a van. After that, she changes places with them and they take pictures of her in front of the van. At the same time, the transparent silhouettes of her friends standing next to her continue to be displayed on the Pixel 9 screen. One of her friends takes a second photo and after processing, a photo appears on the smartphone screen in which all three girls are standing together next to each other, as if they were photographed at the same time.

Judging by the user interface seen in this video, the Pixel 9 combines two photos with the same background. This will allow you to take group photos, adding the person who takes the first photo to them. The resulting image looks high quality and it is extremely difficult to understand that one of the people was not initially in the photo.

As for other interesting innovations, the Pixel 9 will feature a new Google Gemini virtual assistant, an updated Magic Editor that allows you to use an AI algorithm to replace the background in pictures, as well as Pixel Screenshots, an image search tool. Google will tell you exactly how the new features work during the presentation of the Pixel 9 smartphones, which will take place on August 13.
