ASRock introduced the world’s first Radeon RX 7900 XTX and RX 7900 XT with passive cooling

ASRock introduced the Radeon RX 7900 XTX and Radeon RX 7900 XT video cards, equipped with completely passive cooling systems. The new products are not intended for games, but to speed up calculations. However, both support parallel computing using multiple GPUs to improve performance.

The video card cooling system consists of a large aluminum radiator with an evaporation chamber. It is assumed that the new items will be used in a server rack, and installed several pieces close to each other, and powerful case fans will be used for airflow. Both cards also feature metal reinforcement plates on the back.

New items may be of interest not only to the creators of computing systems, but also to gamers who use custom liquid cooling systems. Replacing the radiator with a water block should not be difficult.

Another feature of both cards is that each has a 12+4-pin 12V-2×6 power connector, which is usually only found on Nvidia graphics cards. ASRock cards are two expansion slots thick.

For the Radeon RX 7900 XTX GPU, which contains 96 execution units and 96 MB of AMD Infinity Cache, ASRock claims a frequency of up to 2500 MHz. The card received 24 GB of GDDR6 memory with support for a 384-bit bus.

For the Radeon RX 7900 XT GPU model with 84 execution units and 80 MB of AMD Infinity Cache, frequencies up to 2395 MHz are specified. The card has 20 GB of GDDR6 memory with support for a 320-bit bus.

Both new products received three DisplayPort 2.1 video outputs and one HDMI 2.1. The manufacturer did not disclose the cost of video cards.
