Oppo announced the development of a new flagship smartphone, Find X8 Ultra, which will be significantly thinner than its predecessor, but will have a powerful 6000 mAh battery. This was reported by GSMArena with reference to Find series product manager Zhou Yibao, who revealed the first details about the upcoming flagship.
According to the information provided, Find X8 Ultra will receive a body certified to the IP68 standard, which will provide protection from water and dust. The glass back is likely to come with a matte finish and the device will be less than 9.5mm thick, thinner than its predecessor, the Find X7 Ultra. In addition, the new smartphone has a smaller main camera, which will also have a positive effect on its design.
The Find X8 Ultra is likely to retain a quad-camera design on the back, two of which will be periscopic cameras, while the front will feature a curved OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and QHD+ resolution.
To improve battery life, Oppo will include a 6,000mAh battery, which is not surprising since Oppo’s OnePlus has already announced that its next flagships will have a thinner and lighter battery with a higher capacity than the current lithium-ion batteries . Therefore, it is logical to assume that Oppo will also use Glacier Battery technology to achieve greater energy density.
