“Basalt SPO” invites to the XX conference of free software developers

«Basalt SPO” with the support of the Institute of Software Systems named after. A.K. Ailamazyan RAS is holding the XX anniversary conference of free software developers. The event will take place on October 4–6, 2024 in the city of Pereslavl-Zalessky at the Institute of PS RAS.

At the conference site, participants will discuss issues of free software development and prospects for its development. Developers will exchange ideas and experiences, will be able to establish professional contacts, and initiate new projects.

The organizing committee accepts applications for reports on the following topics:

• Free software development.
• The latest achievements of open source software projects.
• Formation of a community of open source software developers.
• Philosophical, cultural and legal aspects of free software.
• Student projects for the development of open source software.

Abstracts of reports will be published in a separate collection and will be published in the national bibliographic database of scientific citations RSCI.

Application deadlines:

• As a speaker – until September 8, 2024;

• Submission of abstracts of reports – until September 12;

• As a listener – until October 2.

Current information on registration and participation is published on the conference page. The conference program, an electronic version of the collection of abstracts, and messages from the organizers will also be posted there. The broadcast of the performances will be publicly available on the Basalt SPO YouTube channel and the event page.
