Although the creators of Stellar Blade from the South Korean Shift Up cannot yet confirm the PC version of their post-apocalyptic action game, among the studio’s vacancies they found an indication of potential work on the port.
Let us remember that in the spring Shift Up mentioned that it was exploring the possibility of releasing Stellar Blade on PC, but the studio was prevented from saying more by “contractual obligations” (probably to Sony, with whose money the game was ultimately created).
Nevertheless, preparations are still underway to port Stellar Blade to PC. As noted by the PCGamesN portal, Shift Up is currently looking for a combat system designer specifically for PC development.
The specialist will need to design and manufacture PC-related systems for a South Korean-developed AAA console action game – that is, apparently, Stellar Blade.
Stellar Blade debuted on April 26 on PS5. The action game received high (81% on Metacritic and 82% on OpenCritic) scores from critics and a record user score for PS5 games on Metacritic (9.2).
Players in the role of a fighter of the seventh landing squad of Eva will have to reclaim the Earth from hostile creatures. The game features a semi-open world, a story with a twist, spectacular battles and dozens of alternative appearances.
Throughout August, Stellar Blade will receive a free update with a photo mode, in October the game will receive additional skins for the heroine, and by the end of 2024 there will be some kind of “major collaboration.”
