ASUS has announced the Pro WS 665-ACE motherboard, designed for building workstations designed to run AI applications. The new product, made in the ATX form factor, allows the installation of one AMD EPYC 4004 AM5 processor.
The board has four connectors for DDR5 RAM modules. The proprietary OptiMem II technology is implemented: optimized slot layout reduces crosstalk and improves signal integrity, which ensures stable operation even when using high-frequency memory.
Four SATA-3 ports are available for connecting storage devices. There are two OCuLink connectors (PCIe 4.0 x4), as well as three PCIe 4.0 x16 slots. An Intel I225-LM network controller with support for 2.5GbE is used.
The board comes with ASUS Control Center Express software, which is designed for efficient centralized management of computer infrastructure based on enterprise and commercial products through a convenient user interface. The Pro WS 665-ACE model has a processor socket rotated 90°. It is noted that the new product can be used in entry-level servers for data centers and cloud platforms.
ASUS also presented a number of other products supporting AMD EPYC 4004 chips. These included the Pro ER100A B6 1U server, ExpertCenter Pro ET500A B6 workstation with support for DDR5-5200 memory and two connectors for M.2 drives, and a compact Pro motherboard WS 600M-CL.
