IQOO introduced its second smart watch – the Watch GT model. A pair of very affordable TWS 1i wireless headphones were also announced, which, despite the price, stand out for their long battery life and noise cancellation system.
The iQOO Watch GT smartwatch has a 1.85-inch OLED display with a resolution of 450 × 390 pixels. The screen has a peak brightness of 600 cd/m2 and supports automatic change of 256 brightness levels depending on the ambient light. The display claims to support the Always On function, working in combination with AI Smart Window, which shows important notifications on the screen (information about upcoming flights, movie schedules, reminders to take medications, etc.). The AI feature also supports recording voice notes, which will then be synced with the smartphone.
The watch is equipped with a speaker and microphone. You can use them to make calls. iQOO Watch GT will also be offered in a version with eSIM support, which does not even require a smartphone to make calls. In addition, the new product has a built-in GPS module and supports Baidu Maps navigation maps. The presence of a built-in NFC module allows you to use the watch as a travel pass or car key.
The iQOO Watch GT runs on the Blue OS operating system developed by parent company Vivo. This platform has its own application store, so you can download additional software and even some games for your watch.
The iQOO Watch GT smartwatch has replaceable straps. The built-in AI function supports the generation of watch faces based on text queries. There is also a function for editing images for different artistic styles.
The iQOO Watch GT claims up to 21 days of battery life (without eSIM). However, on average, the device will work up to 10 days without recharging. And when using eSIM, the operating time of the smart watch will be from 3 to 9 days.
The iQOO TWS 1i wireless headphones promise a long battery life of up to 10 hours on their own batteries alone. When using the included charging case, the total battery life is up to 45 hours.
IQOO TWS 1i is equipped with 10mm dynamic drivers, offers LC3 codec support and has a low latency gaming mode (55ms). In addition, they are claimed to have IP54 water protection (you can walk in the rain) and even have an active noise reduction function. But the last stars from the sky are missing.
The iQOO Watch GT smartwatch is already on sale and is priced at 500 yuan ($69/€64) for the Bluetooth version. The eSIM option is offered for 800 yuan ($110/€100). Deliveries of the device will begin on July 16. In turn, iQOO TWS 1i wireless headphones are priced at only 100 yuan ($14/€13). But you can buy them even cheaper (for 60 yuan or about $8) if you purchase the new iQOO Neo9S Pro+ smartphone with them.
