Asus announced the ROG Azoth Extreme gaming keyboard with OLED display for $499

Asus has introduced a new device under the ROG brand, aimed at gamers. We are talking about the mechanical keyboard ROG Azoth Extreme 75 percent size. The retail price of ROG Azoth Extreme is $499, which is quite a lot, but the manufacturer tried to justify the price with the high level of the product.

The ROG Azoth Extreme has an aluminum alloy body and weighs 2,200g including wrist rest. The design features a carbon fiber positioning plate for a crisper, more enjoyable typing experience, while an adjustable grip allows you to switch between softer and harder. modes, choosing the most suitable one for yourself. Mechanical switches used are ROG NX Mechanical Switch (Snow or Strom). Each key is equipped with individually controllable RGB backlighting.

Overall, ROG Azoth Extreme is an improvement on ROG Azoth in many ways. The new product can operate autonomously for up to 1600 hours, which is an impressive figure. It is not only suitable for gamers, but will also be convenient for everyday use, as it allows you to connect wired, wireless (uses a 2.4 GHz adapter) and Bluetooth devices at the same time. The polling frequency for wired and wireless connections is 8000 Hz.

One of the main features of the Azoth Extreme, and undoubtedly the reason for the high cost, is the OLED display – a full-color touch screen that can display various information. The display is located in the upper right corner of the keyboard and can be used to display system telemetry, user settings, etc.

The compact ROG Azoth Extreme keyboard is a high-quality product. However, its high cost compared to analogues from other manufacturers will most likely make the keyboard a very niche product.
