Last week, Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun promised that the Mix Fold 4 and Mix Flip foldable smartphones would be released this month. And today Xiaomi announced the date for the presentation of the first of them. The Mix Fold 4 smartphone will be presented on July 19 at an event in China. The presentation of the new product will begin at 19:00 local time (14:00 Moscow time).
At the moment, little is known about Xiaomi Mix Fold 4. According to the company, the new generation foldable smartphone weighs 226 g with a folded body thickness of 9.47 mm. The Mix Fold 4 is also said to be IPX8 waterproof and supports 50W wireless fast charging, as well as two-way satellite communication.
The Mix Fold 4 specifications also include four cameras with Leica optics, including two telephoto lenses, one of which is a periscope with 5x zoom.
In addition to Mix Fold 4, the event will feature Smart Band 9 wireless headphones and the Redmi K70 Ultra smartphone, some of the characteristics of which the company revealed last week.
The Redmi K70 Ultra is powered by a 4nm MediaTek Dimensity 9300+ chip clocked at 3.4GHz. The device uses a new cooling technology that can reduce the temperature of the chip by 3 °C. The Redmi K70 Ultra is also reported to be the first smartphone to feature a 1.5K C8+ display jointly developed by Redmi and TCL with a 144Hz refresh rate and 3840Hz PWM backlight dimming. We also know about a 50-megapixel camera with a Sony IMX906 sensor with optical stabilization and a 5500 mAh battery with fast 120-W charging.
